Nashville News, As the rain continues to fall near Nashville, floodwaters and water rescues both continue to rise.
Nashville Mayor Karl Dean continues to advise residents to stay off the roads.
After 24 hours of rain and with the weather service expecting several hours more Sunday, Tennessee hasn’t seen the end of flash flooding.
The current Nashville flooding has submerged interstate roads and trapped residents. A Flash Flood Watch is in effect for most of Middle TN (except the plateau and eastern Highland Rim) until Monday morning. A Tornado Watch continues through 4pm for most of the Mid State.
As rivers and creeks rise, Dean said worse flooding may be yet to come.
Flooding has forced a number of emergency evacuations, nashville airport, with well over 100 in the Nashville area alone.
