How To Update OSX86 to 10.5.6

Setelah sekian lama menunggu bandwith tambahan buat download Updatean, akhirnya kemarin selesai sudah download 10.5.6 delta updatenya. dalam update kali ini ada beberapa persyaratan yang harus di penuhi supaya update di hackintoh (mac os x86) berhasil diantaranya:

  • Install PC EVI v9 atau bisa juga boot-132 dengan mackerintel’s dsdt patcher. PC EVI v9 bisa di download disini
  • DSDT patcher, untuk mempermudah dalam hal patcher DSDT sudah ada dalam bentuk GUI. jadi tinggal klik saja ga usah mengkopikan file hasil generate an dari DSDT patcher. Filenya bisa di ambil disini.

jika semuanya lancar, mac os x 10.5.5 kita masih berjalan sempurna. setelah itu baru kita mulai update ke mac os x 10.5.6 dan tanpa harus menghapus file appleintelcpupowermanagement.kext sewaktu proses update berlangsung.

dari hasil coba2 kemarin, proses update langsung berhasil tanpa ada kendala dengan menggunakan iAtkos v4i 10.5.4 yang terlebih dahulu di update ke 10.5.5. untuk pengguna iAtkos v5i proses update bisa langsung dilakukan. untuk pengguna kalyway, leo4all, JaS, iDeneb dan lain sebagainya tetap harus melewati persyaratan diatas.

NB : setelah berhasil update ke 10.5.6 sebaiknya hapus file appleintelcpupowermanagement.kext supaya komputer kita ga terlalu panas.

    thx bro pake 5i memang ngga ada masalah namun saya ngga pake PCI_EFI cukup defaultnya saja cuman sebelum update saya install dulu safeudate untuk dell (dell package 2.3) bsa dicari di insane ..namun kmarin pake PC_EFI juga berhasil

    2. Mac OS X 10.5.4 Update (Delta) download disini, instruksi update ada disini
    3. Download Mac OS X 10.5.5 Delta download disini, instruksi lihat disini
    4. Terakhir update Mac OS X 10.5.6, download updateannya disini (Delta) dan instruksi update nya ada dihalaman ini.

    bro… numpang nanya…. klo Update Tiger 10.4.11 gimana bro… langkahnya. maklum pake P4 2,66 MB intel chipset i865, ram 512MB. Coba pake Leo gak bisa mlulu. saya pake Tiger 10.4.8 klo update ke 10.4.9 kernel panic.
    klo pas boot di F8 trus ketik mach_kernel.old kermbali normal gak masalah. tapi setelah itu di restart kernel panic lagi… gimana bro punya solusi buat TIGER gak?… sekalian link update 10.4.11 yang cocok buat JAS 10.4.8. atau ada solusi… sy sudah download di apple nya langsung yang combo update 10.4.11…

    Saya pakai Kalyway 10.5.1 yang sudah diupdate ke 10.5.5 dan menggunakan chameleon v1.0.12. Ketiga file untuk upgrade ke 10.5.6 sudah saya download, tapi setelah itu saya blank :-) File boot ditaruh di root directory setelah itu menjalankan DSDT patcher? Saya nggak ada ide dimana file boot harus diinstall.
    Mohon pencerahannya

    file boot kan dah di tarus diroot directory (partisi dimana mac diinstall), tinggal jalankan DSDT patcher (lihat gambar diatas) pilih option “CHoose HD Aboveto apply DSDTto ^” pada partisi yang kita install. Run DSDT Patcher.
    restart untuk memastikan semuanya baik2 saja.
    jalankan updatean.

    My problem is that during the run of the update, at about 12% of the installation, my Mac always crashes.
    Every time I try! With all the tricks I’ve read on these pages and others too.
    I simply can’t seem to finish the update to 100%!

    I updated my Kalyway 10.5.2 to 10.5.3, and then downloaded 10.5.4 directly from Apple with no problem.

    Would LOVE to have the most recent Apple version, which I think is now 10.5.7. Can’t update to 10.5.5, it crashes every time at 48% installed.

    0) Back up extensions to a non firewire drive using OSX86 Tools v1.0.150. fix permissions and run FSCK. reboot.

    1) run PCEFI v9 AKA Chameleon 1.0.12 updater. reboot and make sure its all good.

    2) i did not need to run the DDST patcher. if you use other than the Vanilla kernel then i suggest you will need the DDST patcher but im not sure.

    3) open Terminal and do the same thing that was used for the 10.5.4 and 10.5.5 updates re the AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext. this might not be required but it wont hurt and ive read that you will need to remove the kext after the 10.5.6 update. be careful with your typing here. the correct text is: open up Terminal and type “sudo su -” without the quotes. Enter your user password and then type “while sleep 1 ; do rm -rf /System/Library/Extensions/AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext ; done” without the quotes. hit the return button.

    4) run the 10.5.5 to 10.5.6 update. do not use the combo update. before rebooting, close the terminal script as before by hitting Control + X within Terminal then close the Terminal. reboot, it will reboot twice. fix permissions.

    5) in my case, USB and graphics were fine but ive read that some have lost USB after the update. as usual, audio was lost and as before just restore the AppleHDA and ALCinject kexts to fix the audio. to fix the firewire, restore the AppleHPET.kext v1.1 from the backed up extensions using Kext Helper B7. reboot and fix permissions and run FSCK. lets hope downgrading AppleHPET.kext does not lead to other problems.

    saya udah install iAtkos v10.5.6 di toshiba u305, semua berjalan sukses..kecuali seperti permasalahan yaitu sound tidak detect alias gak hidup.. sound-driver-Realtek 5.10.0.5413. trz klo bisa wifinya sekalian deh. juga apa bisa hidup. network wireless 4965AGN.
    ada solusi gak??
