Comments on: Geforce 9500 GT Leopard Driver

Spek 9500 GT: Biostar, 1024 MB, DDR2

Driver yang master 3rr0rists bisa detect, dapet QE & CI, full acceleration. Tapi sedikit aneh kalau window digerak-gerakkan, kaya ada delay. Dan itu, memang terdeteksi hanya 512 MB. Nama 9500 GT juga ngga kedeteksi dengan baik.

Akhirnya setelah saya install Leo dari iAtkos 10.5.7, hanya pilih NVEnabler.kext saja, 9500 GT kedeteksi lebih baik di System Profiler, nama NVidia dan jumlah RAM sesuai. QE & CI hardware accelerated, dan memang lebih terakselerasi daripada pakai driver yang dari insanelymac itu mas. Satu NVEnabler ternyata cukup untuk 9500 GT, tidak usah instalasi apa-apa lagi.

No I haven’t and please anybody who has the 9500gt working in snow leopard with dual screen and full resoloutions please do speak up and enlighten us! It works like a charm in Leopard ( I have it working in 10.5.8 perfectly) but in Snow Leopard I can’t get strings to work and same goes for my 7300gs which also works perfectly in regular Leopard but not Snow)

I tried for 4 days to get my 9500 gt to work in snow leopard. these strings work perfectly in regular leopard but in snow leopard all they do is rename the card and adjust memory size.otherwise only 1024×768 support no dual card no other resolutions. I also had same result with my 7300gs card. the difference between these strings and nnvinject dual card is that I get only quartz gl with nvinject but I get quartz gl and quartz extreme with strings but only in regular leopard. so either strings are different in snow leopard or these cards aren’t fully compatible in snow leopard. this is in 32bit mode I haven’t tried 64bit mode yet.So unless new drivers or kexts come out for these cars they aren’t fully compatible in snow leopard. now I’m trying to get dual monitor support in snow leopard by adding a second card which is a whole new can of worms… also I’m disappointed in NTFS support in snow leopard, seems I can’t write to NTFS anymore like I could in regular leopard. have to install two additional programs for that and then NTFS partition HIDES from finder. I wonder why they did this? SEEMS LIKE A STEP BACKWARDS TO ME… that and I still have to figure out how to get off the damn boot disk. 10.6.2 update wipes me out as well so I’m still looking for an IDENEB or IPC snow leopard release with 10.6.2 and good new nvidia drivers in it.

u no need put ur dev id to the kext.
just open GFX String and select costum, and Tipe Your card name and vram and the last choose nvcap.
* Work in Leopard and snow leopard.

here it is! XFX nVidia GeForce 9500 GT – 512mb – VGA and DVI WORKING!
device id: 0x064010de

1) edit NVDANV50Hal.kext and NVDAResman.kext with your device id (most are like mine)
2) Install Kexts
3) Add nVidia GeForce 9500 GT VGA-DVI.hex infos to apple.Boot.plist
4) Repair permissions
5) Reboot =D

QE/CI Enabled and All Resolutions Working =P

How did i create my hex?
- OSX86 Tools
- GFX Strings (Custom)
- name of card
- VRAM (512mb)
- NVCAP – BAAAAAAAAQAGAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA= (that’s the secret!)
ps: when i used my NVCAP original, DVI didn’t work!!!

Fixed it

With osx86tools.
- Add EFI Strings / Boot Flag
- GFX Strings
- Choose graphics card (Custom Geforce)
- put nVidia GeForce 9500 GT
- choose 1024MB
- choosed VGA / DVI
- Import String to boot editor
- Apply changes to com.apple.Boot.plist

Then it worked.

Any tip to fix the DVI plug?
It works only with the vga plug.

When turn on with vga, then plug the dvi, it works.

If turn on with dvi, get blank screen.

Other thing. I installed iDeneb 10.5.7 and was getting blank screen. To fix it i had to boot with -s and:
# mount -uw /
# rm -r /System/Librarys/Extensions/NV*

Then installed your driver.

Many many many thanx for this Driver. Im looking for a solution since a few weeks. it works perfecly on P4 3GHz GForce 9500GT Low Profile with i915 Chipset on OSx86 iPC 10.5.6.
I tried many things (NVkush and so on) and it dosnt work.

DO NOT CLICK RESTART AT THE END OF NVIDIA 9000 SERIES SETUP

3 – INSTALL NVDARWIN.KEXT USING KEXT HELPER EASY INSTALL

4 – NOW GO TO DISK UTILITY AND REPAIR PERMISSIONS
